James D. Fittante Owner/ Architect
Jim's architecture experience started over 25 years ago. Jim participated in Lewiston Porter Senior High
school's first computer aided drafting class where he excelled and helped his teachers learn and
manage the program. After receiving an associates degree in Architecture, he help set up and start
Fittante Construction where he designed and worked as a foreman/carpenter doing residential additions,
decks, garages, and etc.
In 1993 Jim went back to college to finish his degree. He then went to work as a design drafter
for Cannon Design in Grand Island, NY. He worked on large commercial health care, recreational
and public projects. In 1996 Jim joined Benderson Development for 12 years in Buffalo NY
as an Architectural Project Manager. Benderson Development was the largest privately owned
developer in the United States and Jim worked on a vast variety of retail projects throughout the
United States. His experience at Benderson and his enrollment in the New York State Intern
Development Program, enabled him to take the architectural exams and become a licensed
architect in New York State. Jim then took a position as Senior Project Architect with Silvestri Architects
in Amherst. He worked there for two years before deciding to go out on his own and start Fittante
Architecture P.C.
Jim offers the diversity as an Architect. He has actual hands on field experience and puts it to a use on
projects. This excels him in the design and understanding of the project from concept to finish.
Jim's hobby is still carpentry and helping friends and family with there residential projects.
